ISR YOUNG GUN 500’s Grass and Ice Drag CLASS RULES YOUNG GUN 500’s

Built to introduce the next generation of racers to competitive drag racing while keeping the class affordable, safe, and fun.
RIDER ELIGIBILITY
• Riders must be 12–16 years old on race day.
• Riders under 18 must have parent/guardian consent.
• All riders must meet sanctioning body licensing and safety requirements.
CHASSIS
• All sleds must comply with current ISR Pro Stock Rules less engine.
• Functional front and rear suspension required.
• All Pro Stock regulations regarding frame, suspension, steering, skis, bodywork, fuel system, safety equipment, and track suspension apply.
• Any chassis modifications legal under ISR Pro Stock remain legal unless specifically restricted.
ENGINE
• Oval Polaris Formula 500 engine package required.
• Naturally aspirated only.
• No turbochargers, superchargers, or nitrous oxide systems.
EXHAUST
• Commercially available, functionally silenced exhaust required.
• Exhaust must exit rearward and downward per ISR regulations.
FUEL
• Approved race gasoline only.
• No alcohol, nitromethane, oxygenated fuels, or performance-enhancing additives.
• Fuel is subject to testing at any event.
DRIVETRAIN
• Any primary clutch allowed.
• Any secondary clutch allowed.
• Clutch calibration is open.
• Any chain, gears, sprockets, and drive ratios allowed.
• Brakes must meet current ISR Pro Stock regulations.
MINIMUM WEIGHT
• Minimum race weight (sled + rider): 600 lbs.
• Weight checked immediately after competition with rider in full race gear.
BALLAST
• Ballast permitted to meet minimum weight.
• Must be securely fastened with mechanical fasteners.
• Loose ballast prohibited.
• Subject to inspection at any time.

Approved for:
• Ice Drag Racing
• Grass Drag Racing
Race distance, track preparation, and event procedures will be determined by the sanctioning body conducting the event.

• Introduce youth racers to organized drag racing
• Promote safe, competitive racing
• Develop driving skills and consistency
• Encourage family participation
• Create a stepping-stone to higher-performance classes
