(January 21, 2016 - Minneapolis, MN) The "granddaddy" of all snowmobile races took place last weekend in the Snowmobile Capital of the World. Once again, Fjerstad and his crew would concentrate their efforts at earning the best finish possible in Round 3 of the TLR Cup Tour and the AMSOIL World Championship Derby


During time trials on Thursday Fjerstad quickly realized that his #16 Polaris was under-powered exiting the corners and not as fast down the straights as it had been in previous years at the Derby track. The team switched up the sled's clutch package and did some work on the top end in hopes of finding more speed. Fjerstad was able to finish third in Thursday night's qualifier, which would allow him to compete for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen feature that would take place during Friday Night Thunder.  

The crew continued to tweak the set-up but when Fjerstad went out on Friday to race his way into the feature, the speed still wasn't where it needed to be. It was another long night i
